So, I have an idea.
Miscommunication seems to be the biggest problem between an amazon and it's parront. There's this wonderful sticky thread about the body language of amazons which I really like, but I had a hard time remembering and visualizing signs just from a text, especially since this was my first meeting with an amazon. I've also searched on youtube for amazon body language, but the information is sparse.

So, I thought that it would be awsome to make some kind of online library with our videos of amazons displaying different emotions. I'm not familiar with what kind of websites that can be used for this, but I suppose a youtube channel would do. A free, open source.

What do you guys think, and do you have any further thoughts or ideas about this?

And, a great idea!

You could create a Social Group that is part of Parrot Forums and much like the individual Forums, but the Social Group would be specific to Amazon Owners to share Videos of Amazon Body Language.

As part of your personal membership page, there is a section along the right hand side that is titled: Group Memberships. Once there, you can view the Social Groups and join those you have an interest and create a New Group if you do not find one that would work for your idea.

As a point of interest, Amazon Body Language is commonly a mix of several body positions, wing and tail feather displays and /or movements, and head moment, plus variations of activities of the eyes; like pinning and coloration...

Just to add complexity to it all, individual Amazons tend to add specific body language that they use as part of very specific communication with their Humans, in addition to vocal communication.

The Thread targets Common Body Language that as a Species, Amazons use (Group Speak, if you will).

That's a nice idea! I will certainly consider it!
And yes, I've noticed that their language is very complex and I'm interested in the more..micro expressions that I'm not quite sure what they meen yet.
