Ok, we clipped Kiwi's wings the right way and she was upset with me for about 2 hours. She finally came back out of her cage and tried to fly. I went to pick her up off of the floor and she stepped up, I carried her to the couch and we sat and talked for a while. I then laid down on my back and she walked to my chest. I had my hand beside her and she put her head down and pushed it forwards to my hand. I raised a finger and rubbed her head. I stopped petting her and was just laying there holding her and she started trying to fit her head between my fingers. I laughed at her and she found her opening between my thumb and finger and pushed her head under there. Before I knew it I was waking up to find that she had situated herself sort of under my chin and against my hand and was sleeping. My dog Trixie was laying behind my legs asleep and my husband was laying at the other end of the couch with his feet behind me and under Trixie asleep. I know that sleeping with your birdie is a no no and it was purely accidental, but we were on the couch and I dont move much when I'm on the couch for fear of rolling off of it myself lol so I wasnt too worried about rolling on top of Kiwi. Guys, I have an amazing wonderful bird and I cant thank you all enough for your support and advice through all of this. I almost gave up in the beginning because I was getting discouraged that she wouldnt let me even hold her, and having all of you tell me that it just takes time and patience has been great. I'll still be here posting about Kiwi's progress with me
