It'd be great if there were an Amazon Sound Language sticky that accompany the body language thread, just sayen.

Or do they not have the same meaning like body language?

It would be truly wonderful if such a tool existed!

I have been Owner by Wild Caught Amazons, the early North American Breed Amazons released only after fully fledged and socialized, and fully weened Amazon. Each have had their own Language deeply influenced by their exposures to other older Amazons. The depth and richness of the language of an older wild caught Amazon compared to a fully weened, Human feed Amazon is huge. A much larger Language base existed with the wild caught adult - took years to place meaning with sounds. With the most recent Amazon, there exists some confusion caused by multiple means to the same sounds. However, as they're life experiences increase, they add sounds and became more specific.

The observant Owner can begin connecting sounds with events or occurrences. Being attentive to what your Amazon is seeing and reacting to and the sounds that accompany them will go a very long way to assigning meaning to sounds.

Once you begin this trip, your life will be greatly enhanced as you see and become aware of far more going on around you!!!

I really wish Amy WOULD make Amazon sounds.. Having been living with her parront (Me!!) 99.9% of her life,I don't think she KNOWS any 'zon noises, except maybe the basic one's she was born with..a couple "grunts" and a sqwauk or two..

Maybe I'm lucky that she DOESN'T know any???
