Can anyone help me please; my boss has a orange winged Amazon, he's about 4 years old. I used to work from his house home and as a result, spent a lot of time with him and his friend, an umbrella cockatoo called Baby) I have since moved to an office away from the main house and don't get to spend too much time with him any more. Recently however, Ammo has become scruffy and his feathers are quite dull. His eyes are quite clear though, so I don't think he's ill, although I may be wrong. Can anyone out there help please?

do you know what they feed him, diet can have a lot to do with apperance

diet and something else that may help is a bath... sometimes people neglect this part of parrot ownership thinking the dont need it, well they should have a daily misting to keep the best feathers and health:).

I have since discovered that Ammo is fed mainly sunflower seeds and not much else - probably why he's not a happy bird?

Why do people get these highly intelligent , high needs and expensive animals, them turn around and do not even give them the basic care/need meet. It baffles me.
