...picked up a jar for Amy today. I wanted pure almond but only could find it with honey mixed..that will have to do. I had a small taste..and guess what? It tastes like almonds :D This will be better than the PB he's been getting with his daily meds. We're going outside for a good shower than a ride to see his buddies the Green Armed BeBe's and look for some probiotics..the things I do for this fid (both of 'em actually!)

Hi Jim,
If you have concern over expense and the addition of honey, just buy organic almonds, soak for a few hours in water, rinse, add to spice grinder and voila - organic almond paste. Add a little water if needed to make a spreadable consistency. This way you can make the paste/butter fresh in the quantity needed.

Expense??? a 16oz jar was ten bucks! That bird better eat it and like it!!

LOL re expense...hence my suggestion. I always have almonds around for treats so I turn it into paste as needed. Saves a LOT of $$$$.:)

Hmmm, sounds like you liked what you tasted. This could end-up being a battle of who gets more of it! :D

Yep, it tastes great on a piece of gluten free 5 seed toast. And yes, I have to fight Ellie, and now our new boy Bertie, for a bite :D.
