Laura I don't think your bird is comfortable or trusting of you...at all, the signs of hyper alertness and anxiety are CLEARLY visible there, lol.

Ta-dah choose this as her Time, she goes nuts in her cage every night at just about straight up 830 pm. Lol then I get her out a d she rubs her face all over me. It's so sweet! Sometimes she rants about her day first. Then cuddles. Tonight just extra cuddles.
If I don't get her out, she finds unknown ways to escape her cage a d fly through the dark house to me!

I've noticed my birds are not early fans either, they tend to have a little routine they go through, they want/demand that I chat with them for a few minutes, the usual good morning type of thing, asking how they slept, then they want nothing to do with me until after the morning meal, preening and stretching
