all conures preening

Can anyone tell me why all of my conures just recently started preening one another? I have a Jenday, a Sun and a Green Cheek. They don't always get along. Actually besides preening, neither of them like the Green Cheek. The Jenday is 20 years old and has been alone for some time. I got the Sun about a year ago and recently (Sept. or Oct) got the Green Cheek.

Does anyone have birds that are doing this? Also, they all started licking one anothers tongues. (yes I know about the birds and the bees. lol)

My Sun and Green Cheek do this all the time. Its a flock thing I would assume. It took my 2 a few weeks to adjust to each other but they are cuddlebugs now especially on the colder nights.
