Alex and Kids

Hi guys,

I am thinking of getting an Alex and have 2 young kids. Could you give my any advice/share any experiences of how Alex's and kids get on?

My alex and my 6yo do not get along at all. It is not the bird's fault, my son does not help matters at all. My advice is not to get any bird on the assumption that the kids & bird will get along well...they may not. Kids & parrots are not always a good combination.

If YOU want a bird, then get one...but be prepared to keep the kids away from the bird & vice versa if they don't get along. If they do, then great! - that's a huge bonus.
