Hi guys. recently my Cockatiel Cleo has taken to screaming whenever i pick up a towel and she is on my shoulder. She must think they are the most deadly things in the world, lol :) ( she also dosent act like she is really scared like she usually will when she sees something that scares her, she just screams). Anyway i was just wondering if anyone else has a parrot with a weird fear of something such as broom handles or towels, (my friends indian ringneck starts screaming when it sees a broom stick). :D

btw i'm not worried about her screaming i just wanted to hear some funny fears peoples parrots have. :p

Foo isn't afraid, but she is outraged at "red monster" (vacuum). She mimics the scrub jays screech when she see's one of us touch it. Over and over again till we unplug it. We can leave it out and she is fine with it, just whatever you do, don't touch that thing!

As anyone with birds we have to vacuum at least once daily, so you would think she would be used to it. the crazy thing, is the shop vac is way louder than a regular vacuum, yet the shop vac doesn't elicit the same response..go ahead and use the really loud giant orange one, that is just fine.

My fiends amazon also has a weird fear of Almonds. Whenever she sees one she squawks and fly's off, lol. Although she loves almonds despite the fact that they look similar to almonds. :D
