Last Wednesday at 4am, Steven was driving a friend to the hospital, for a check up.
After he left Mishka asked me, where is Steven? I said Steven went to the hospital. She asked me a few more times that day and I told her.
Never mentioned the hospital again. Today a week later, whilst chatting to her, I asked her where is Steven, she replied Steven's gone to the hospital.

They have an incredible memory........ :D
I should diaries things with her a week beforehand, LoL and she will remind me.

I heard on a TV program about parrots that they remember everything they have ever said but may not say it anymore.
I love Rosie but wish you could come here and train her some.

The TV program is 100% accurate, they remember everything they have ever said BUT may not say it again.

I have experienced the same thing with Mishka. When she has learnt a new word, or sentence, she repeats it continuously for about 2 weeks. In between, saying everything else.
Other words begin to fade out. When making the Cd's for Mishka, from the beginning, and still today, I keep them. In between her current Cd's, I play all the old ones for her. Mishka has her favorites, she will never stop saying. I would say from her 19 Cd's, there is about 10% of the words she is no longer saying. AND believe me, on the 19 Cd's there one heck of a lot to say.

I guess Mishka takes after me, chatterbox 24/7.

Aww, that's precious. She is such a good listener, and so smart!

Thanks for sharing.

Mishka says thanks Parrotqueen (My long distance aunt) LoL

I must try video her and I training at night. She touches my nose with her beak, and stays like that for the entire session of talking.

When I say a new word, if she likes it, she tilts her head, looks at me practically upside down and mumbles and mumbles. By the next morning, she has almost perfected the word.

The training takes about 45 minutes to an hour each night. It is extremely tiring, holding her for that amount of time with my injured hand (nerve injury).
She refuses to go to my left hand. Thankfully she has never hurt me, its as if she knows to be gentle.

It is worth every minute, we have so much fun......... :D
