If a grey has a line down its chest, like the bird in the pic below, is that an indication that he is under weight? The pic is not of Charlie, but he has the same line, and I was wondering, but cant find info on the net it seems.
Whenever I see that line I often think of obesity first, from the feathers bulging out from the keel due to excessive weight. The best way to tell is by feeling the keel itself, though I'm sure you know that. I think an underweight bird would be a bit difficult to identify when the feathers are naturally resting.
