Hi to all,
My name is Marilyn and my husband and I have a 10yr old female timneh. She has been diagnosed wth elevated liver enzymes. She is ,and has been treated with both holistic as well as medicinal meds twice a day. She also has a history of seizures rating from middle of the line to severe, When severe, she is taken to our Avian vet and treated there for several days. She is a very smart bird but has a serious biting problem towards my husband and I. ( i do not allow anyone to put their fingers near her cage because she can be very quick with her beak and tearing skin is one of her better skills..
Last evening she became an escape artist and wandered out of her cage while I was cleaning it and changing the paper etc, and we had a bit of a difficult time getting her to go back inside. We were able to accomplish this task, however, my hands are not verfy pretty this morning. I finally reverted to a towel.
I hope you understand the reason for my history of Graydee prior to asking my question. I did this because possibly the occurances of last evening have affected her in some way, because. she is also very sensitive, and her feelings get hurt easily.
This morning her "morning poop" was green, like almost a kelly green but a bit darker, It looked smooth in appearance and had no signs of poorly digested food.
In all the years since we have had Graydee (10) and prior to her by two years, an Umbrella Cockatoo who is 13yr. I have seen many different varieties of poop. This color is perhaps somewhat different, or maybe I have seen this color before but not in such a large quantity. Any suggestions would be sincerely welcome.
Thanks once again.

Did you recently change her diet, that can account for a change in color. Taking your bird and a sample of the excriment in to the vet would be advisable. espceially if there is no white componant.

I do not know about Grays... but Abby my Eckie's poop gets real green when she is nervous and upset.
I took her to the vet and she pooped while the vet was checking her. The vet said that is was normal and nothing to worry about.
However I would call your Vet and ask him/her just to be sure.
