advice please

greetings one and all, my amazon parrot has been with me since may, we think hes 10 years old but not 100% sure....i would say by the way he reacts to myself and other members of the family he hasnt been handled much and certainly not had much interaction, whislt he was out of his cage last week i recieved a nasty bite on the back of my hand ive been trying to reassure him that im no threat and im not going to hurt him but he continues to lash out, any advice would be very welcome ( he also doesnt speak)

we've been having a game of me touching his beak with one finger always keeping finger eyeline with him, he puts his foot up to grab my finger so i keep touching his foot and then back to his beak reassuring him all the time telling him "good boy" whilst doing this he hasnt been agressive towards me, am i moving in the right direction?
