We all know that buying the largest cage you can afford and have room for is one of the best things you can do for your birds. But I assert that bigger cages are beneficial for owners too.
It seems that the bigger the cage, the easier it is to clean! Cleo was our "resident dirt-bag" - always had the hardest to clean cage, with veggie juice residue and red pepper skins stuck everywhere. Then we turned her AA Nina (18x20x25) into a spare cage, and moved her into an AA Chiquita (22x28x30) a few months ago....and wa-la! Now, she is a breeze to clean.
