Your new bird will acclimate itself, though your dogs may intimidate him/her or it could go the other way.....I would be very wary until I knew that the dogs were no danger to the bird.....this may take a month or two or may take a year.....if any of the dogs sit & stare at the bird or show any undue interest in it, it/they need to be removed to another room or put outdoors.....having predators stare at them tends to stress companion birds.....
