I have no idea what he might be, but please get him into an avian vet immediately. He is probably dehydrated and starving. Often when starving an animal needs very careful reintroduction to food. Please keep us informed as to how he is fairing.

Looks like a pionus. Very pretty one too. Post to all classified stating you've found a parrot. Don't describe it. Let the caller. And yes. Take him or her to the vet.
The droppings don't look to healthy

liquid part should be clear, but it will depend what his been eating while feral, they canbe watery when they are stressed

vets ASAP or take him into a bird rescue ASAP

if his pooping theres something in him, so just keep it calm around him, and leave him to settle at yours for now, and try some seeds, if previous owners have fed him seeds, he might not know that is food you are giving him or just simply to scared to eat while watched, keep up with the water, even bread is better then nothing for now, or put alittle of it into the water

I strongly agree with the vet visit. Yes the bird is a Pionus. they are beautiful, well behaved birds. I bet the bird got out and has been lost for a while now. Poor baby. Is there a leg band. The bird may also have a micro chip. Keep him warm and try to give him fresh fruits and vegies, no avacodo or peanuts or apple seeds. Also try the other nuts and you He might like a warm serving of oatmeal. Here is a photo of a health one:

Please keep in touch with us and let us know what the avain vet has to say. Thanks so much

Aww what a cutie. Definitely Pionus-possibly a bronze wing?

I agree that a vet check is necessary. He also looks very red around the eye ring area. I think some are normally a light pink but it just looks irritated to me. Could be the photo. :)

Glad this sweetie found you! Please keep us posted. :)
