A very cool opportunity for Mr. Kiwi

Our science museum currently has an exhibit of the work of Christopher Marley. He is an artist who preserves specimens of unfortunate creatures that have passed on of natural causes in an artistic manner. One feature in this exhibit is a large photo backdrop depicting none other than an oversized pair of a.xanthopterxy wings and tail for visitors to take photos in front of. I recognized them immediately. After commenting I would love to take a photo with my BFA in front of that backdrop, we were invited to come in before hours tomorrow to do just that!

I am so excited you guys and Kiwi will undoubtedly enjoy an unexpected trip and experiencing a new place he’d never normally get to go. Not to mention, his 11th adoption day is Saturday, so it’s an extra special treat for him to get to go out for his “birdday” Because it’s chilly and rainy this time of year, he usually doesn’t get to go anywhere, but this was a unique opportunity I couldn’t pass up, so he’ll be super pleased! I will (maybe) get to actually setting up a imgur just so I can post photos here.

It’s about a 30-45 minute drive from us, mostly due to downtown morning traffic (boo!), so not much of a road trip. More of a vibrant display of the female human’s most colorful language because I hate rush hour traffic almost as much as I do driving downtown (of which I’ll have to do both) lol. Kiwi will, undoubtedly, be very excited indeed as he too has much to say to slow and/or stupid drivers lol!

What an amazing opportunity.

I can see Kiwi providing a full wing and tail feather display to match the art work. Enjoy the photo opportunity! Sounds like there is interest that may have a few others on-hand with their photo equipment. May Kiwi be in his full display mode...

Julio is such a travel hound and like his brother by a different mother, he becomes upset and frustrated with traffic jams. Caught (boxed) in a heavy mix of semi's, he lets his dislike be well known. May the traffic magically fold open allowing HRH a quick and unobstructed trip into town...
