Hello everyone!

So we are able to do a huge cage in addition to the normal cage. The question is, will it worth it? I mean could a single macaw use a ~25 m2 aviary besides his normal cage? We would connect the 2 cage with a little tunnel.

I tried to draw what I meant. Yeah, I am not a paint master :09:

Hey, you forgot to show us where the safe is. :54:

Yes, I think your Macaw would utilize the entire area if given the opportunity. But wait....a tunnel???? Now I'm thinking of coal miners going through shafts.

Hey morthy I'm glad to see you got your macaw, congratulations! Your plans sound awesome....more room=happier, healthier bird. :)

I agree! More room=happy bird. Congrats on getting a macaw! :D

Thank you guys! :D

We can bring him home in the end of September. We are changing the furnitures, repainting everything, and making the full house bird friendly. It is so exciting. :)

I agree with what has been said; the more room you can provide, the better. I cant afford larger cages, but I am contemplating HOW to connect my two cages when Bandit inevitably passes. It would give my cockatiels nearly double the space they have now.
