Casper never drinks - he must get all the moisture he needs from fruit and veggies. Then yesterday he decided Margaret needed a bit of help finishing her cup of tea. Fortunately she takes it decaffeinated and without milk. He took a beak full and then several more. She only stopped him when he decided that he needed to be holding the cup.
Today he had another good drink and we are surprised. Is it just because he wants to be an honorary human having an afternoon cuppa. Whatever the reason it is good to see him actually drinking.

I would venture to say that Casper does drink but you just don't see him do it. I doubt that a bird could survive on water only taken in from fruits and veggies. Nevertheless, I have read that tea, specifically Chamomile tea, is OK to give your birds in a decaf variety.

LOL Casper is picky about WHAT he wants to drink. Why drink water if there's a warm cup of freshly brewed tea? :) My Macaw goes bonkers over Pomegranate juice - go figure. And it's SO sour!
