Hello, all-- yesterday I had the privilege of getting owned by Moses, a ~15 year old white umbrella cockatoo.
I've had birds almost all of my life, ranging from parakeets, to cockatiels, to finches, lovebirds, and a mitred conure, but this is my first foray into the large bird world.
Moses is a fun-loving, wonderful 'Too'. He has issues with males, so it may take me a while to win him over, but I think I am getting there. While he still doesn't want to get on my arm, he did allow me to lull him to sleep today by scratching the back of his head and his neck.
Anyway, since I'm new to the cockatoo world, I hope to be able to get some good tips on doing it right.
