I think it's a wren using the nest box. You can see her sitting inside. :)

We have several boxes put up everywhere and some have been up for years and none have been occupied except this one closest to the house and the newest one that's only been up for a year. I was looking the other day when I saw grass sticking out so I got close to look and she flew out at me scared the heck out of me...lol

Hahaha, I bet!

Neighbors came over and brought dinner and we sat with the tiki torches on enjoying the nice weather out... :)

We sat around and watch momma wren bring the food to her babies... :D

They're absolutely adorable!!!! I love baby birds very much, they're just too cute!!! I just wish someone would use the other two nest boxes...Maybe I need to move them to a different location....

The House Wrens and Carolina Wrens both will raise more than one clutch, at least in our area. We have to clean out the boxes every year as sometimes they will have multiple nest stacked on top of each other. If they get tame enough you can feed the parents crickets or meal worms to carry back to the babies. They love to work the tomato plants for worms to feed the babies. No worm too big, LOL.
