As my human baby is almost 6 months and will presumably be given the ok to start solids at his checkup this month, naturally my food processor kicked the bucket. I ordered a baby food maker that steams, blends and defrosts all in one glass container. Didn’t even think of the avian use application until looking at the recipes and thinking Kiwi would like them too (or at least the ones we’ll be using since we won’t be feeding Cas meat either :26:). It’s small as well, so would be good for small batches for single bird owners or small bird owners who don’t need to make half a ton of food at a time lol. And it’s glass, so no worries about steaming in plastic (though the blade does have a plastic housing). Just thought I’d share!

I do love a good gadget....I have recently emailed instapot people about their yogurt-maker/steamer to see if it contains PTFE/PFOA/PFCS/Teflon (in any part )...I used to make my own yogurt using a cooler, mason jars, and hot water...but again..I love a gadget LOL!

Does it contain any PTFE/PFOA/PFCs/Teflon? Whenever anything heats up, I have to ask...

Very minimal metal components, none non-stick.

The Vitaclay yogurt maker/crockpot does not contain any (or at least didn’t when I bought mine several years ago). I make my own dairy-free yogurt and love it for that purpose (also for making small batches of beans and grains).

Truly a great gadget! The size is perfect for Parrots, Babies and Empty Nesters as well. Planned-Overs are great, but about the fourth day, not so great! Great find Kiwi's Mom!
