Hi, I just have a few questions.

Its starting to get warm here in NYC and iv been leaving the windows open in the mourning when i go to work to let fresh air in, sense conners come from south america i assume that the heat wont really bother him? or should i leave the air on low to keep it moderate.

Also we tried to convert to pellets but it just would not happen so i got him on the bird paradise blend from my birdstore.com where we buy most of our stuff.
here it is: Paradise Small Bird Ultimate Blend (Benji Blend) - BIRD PARADISE BLENDS by Bird Paradise I just want to make sure its ok.
thanks Erik

The window being open depends on the temperature that it is or will be through out the day. Also, it depends on what he is used to. If he is used to 70 degrees and then all the sudden it's 85 in there, it may be a problem. I try to keep my birds at the same temp when possible. My pets are kept inside where they are used to the a/c but my aviary birds (which are housed in a separate building from my house) are used to the outside temps with the exception of winter. In the winter they are kept at 65-68 degrees. In the summer they are used to hot and humid but I also have a cap on what I allow the temp to get to and then I add a window unit. I would also worry that the sun would be able to reach his cage. If that's the case, I would move his cage to were there is at least half shelter from the sun.

Bird Paradise mix is great! I feed my guys a similar mix and they love it! I don't beleive in a 100% pelleted diet especially if you are not feeding fresh foods. My aviary birds are fed 40% pellets, 50% cooked/fresh foods and 10% seed.

I have a Sun and she is soooo cute! I just love her to pieces :) :orange:
