Audrey has always been such a pain in the bum when I've tried to hand her food. She would attack it, snatch it, drop it etc. But tonight I handed her a little pasta macaroni and she ate it lol!! And then a second one! I was a bit shocked LOL I didn't think she would ever like to take food from my hand. But perhaps now I will always have to share dinner with her hahaha :p

I also think this is a good thing because I might be able to do some training with her now, if she will start accepting treats from my hand! :)

maybe she just didn't like the food you have been giving her! she has expensive taste you know ;) haha
yay audrey!! good girl :D

Hahaha well thats the thing, she'd take it off my plate if I let her, but she wouldn't take it from my hand. She's always been kinda nervous about anything on or in hands like rings etc so I think that maybe her nerves are calming! :D

ohhhhhh, well you see what the problem is... she just doesnt want your fingers all over her food!! ;)

so is she taking treats now?

ROFLOL...THAT cracked me up. :D

Good girl, Audrey! Perhaps she is just now realizing that treats taste best straight out of mum's hand. :32:

Hahaha yep, you wouldn't think so with all of her other bad habits, but Audrey is quite particular about hygiene! :p :p :p

I will see tomorrow if she'll take some treats from my hand hehe, yay! :)

hahaha WAIT! I GOT IT!!
audrey regurgitates on your fingers doesnt she!! so.. she knows what your fingers have touched! haaha :p

she is smarter than you think!!

I have found that if I hand the food slowly toTiki and a bit off to the side she will take without snatching it and dropping it. I also will pull my hand back just as she is reaching for it if it lookings like she is going to lunge for it.

Hahahahahaha Tab, thats true, but then again, remember she eats it back up again? So she can't mind too much HAHAHAHA!

Mike I have always tried to offer it in different ways, slowly, showing her its eatable etc, she just would never take it. As I was eating tonight she stretched her head over to look at my plate and I offered her some food and she just grabbed it right away and ate it, I was so shocked lol!

I think its a good step in our bond, she's always been nervous around hands, so she seems to trust mine completely now.

So every single meal or snack I have eaten since this post is also now Audreys LOL As soon as the food comes out , shes trying to eat it as I go to take a bite and from my hands, oh this shall be fun lol!!
