Getting a bird in the first place, was not our choice.
Nearly 3 years ago, a little scared kakariki arrived in our stairway.
We were searching where he came from - his owners must have missed him!

A vet in our road told us there were even more kakarikis found on this weekend. Someone must have abandoned them on purpose

As we loved our litte orphan we accepted the vets suggestion to take care of two of them. But one sadly died early. So we got him a new partner - never let a bird alone!

Guess they were not two boys, as we got eggs -> *puff* 7 birds in total.
We totally love them :04:

Wow! Lovely story. Similar to how my cockatiel landed with me. May be if I followed your footsteps, I would have 7 birds with me now. But can't match the lifestyle you have provided. Great video.
