my IRN and my Rainbow Lory !

anyway i wanted to ask if its normal for my irn not to make any sound at this point of time ?
He was very vocal very noisy when i first got him , however around 6 weeks old he stopped making noises .
Currently VERY silent .
Brought him to a vet and all is well .
is there any reason why hes not making any sound ? chirping or anything ?

Welcome! :)

Just a question - are you still hand feeding him and weaning him onto solids and veggies? Because the breeder I got my IRN from wouldn't even think about giving them to anyone until they were at least 13 weeks of age and fully weaned. When he was still barely feathered and begging for food like in the first picture, he would've made lots of sound. That's natural survival behaviour to make sure they get food. Once they can see and no longer need to make as much sound to demand food, they quiet down.

He looks very well feathered and content, but to be honest they don't really start making a lot of noise until around 5-6 months generally, if not later. They may chirp and make the sounds they instinctively know, but they don't try to communicate until a bit later. My IRN didn't start talking until he was 5 months, and now he hasn't stopped talking.
