HI GUYS!!! TANGO IS HOMEEEE!!!! We picked him up at 1PM and talked with the breeder, played with some of the other birds and talked about what was needed to get him settled in. Tango is a HUGE SWEETHEART, he immediately stepped up on to my finger and couldn't wait to be held, cuddled, kissed and explore the inner workings of my jacket. When that was done, he promptly jumped to my wife's hand and pretty much did the same. He steps out the minute your finger it in front of him and doesn't bite, zero fear and is just amazing, we are in love. We got home at 3PM and let him explore his cage... he looked around for 10 minutes and immediately started holding on to the bars near the door and begging to come out and be with us. So out he came a bit more and surfed my arm and should while we put away groceries and tidied up. I put him away to relax now and check out his digs so I can check the PC and then pass the vacuum. Even now he's calling to be back with us.

Oh and the first time we brought him out I tried to put him on his new portable perch on the kitchen island so he can watch the action and he decided to try and jump/fly to me and did one of those glides/frantic flapping trips to the floor in my direction. Just LOVES to be with us, wow!

The drive back home he was out and on the rip of his carrier looking out the window and then decided to hop on my shoulder and look outside. We were caught in traffic and people were looking and pointing with smiles lol! I guess in a city still frozen shut (it actually snowed a bit today), it's a little sign of spring to see a brightly colored bird riding shotgun lol!

So just blown away with Tango right now... stunned at just how friendly and instant cuddlebug mode he went in to. I pray this is how he stays. Already sits in my hand on his back and lets me scratch his belly, hangs upside down from my fingers etc. Just a riot.

Pics to come I promise, just trying to get my house back in order... back in a bit!!

Welcome home, Tango! From everything your new human has written, I'd say you've hit the jackpot as far as families and homes go!

Congratulations to all! Looking forward to more stories (and photos, of course!).

Well, gotta go...for some reason a FedEx truck has pulled up outside of my house...
:p

Welcome home Tango! Can't wait to see those pictures!!!

On a side note, did Eliza and Henry get there yet? FedEx is pretty fast...

HELPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There's a pair of crazy Caiques trying to pry my front door open with crowbars (or Caiquebars hee hee) demanding entry!!! They keep screaming they demand photos and to open all pantry doors for inspection. I'm currently hiding in Tango's cage typing from a bite-savaged laptop with 5% battery power. I'm scared guys... really scared :(

I have little choice.. I must give up the photos for the sake of my family's safety. You win E & H, you win.

SHOOOOTGUUUUNNNNNNNNNNNNN:

Going through the Louis H Lafontaine Tunnel in Montreal... oooooo pretty lights! Good thing daddy brought this carrier along so I could use it as a perch lol!

You want me to go for a one hour car ride without eating... riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight....

We are just so in love... by 9PM he started a constant calling sound consisting of 3 chirps, and he wouldn't stop be it on the table, on my hand etc... we thought maybe he's just exhausted and wanted to hit the hay. We put him in his cage, he went to the very highest perch and just sat quiet... we covered his cage and I think he's dreaming of chasing 5 lbs peanuts lol!

More adventures tomorrow!!!!

Thanks guys, you have all made this day that much easier to handle, I feel like I was really prepared for the home coming, all thanks to the information you all shared. Tango, my wife and myself all thank you very much :) More pics tomorrow!!!

Dan

Tango is gorgeous! I can't believe how quickly he adjusted to y'all and seemed like he was really enjoying his car ride adventure:) Wow, your windshield is so clean,it almost looks like he is riding on the hood! Looking forward to many more pics and stories.

Hopefully Eliza and Henry have headed back home - now that we have pictures, their job is done:)

Thank you Terry, we just love her.

Battery is down to 1% but the banging sounds and screech of metal on metal at the front door has stopped. I can't stop shaking... *picture Blair Witch scene in the tent*

Tango is absolutely gorgeous. Love the pics.

So glad the racket at the front door has ceased....for now. :)

What an adorable sweetheart Tango is! Congrats! It sounds like he's already made himself right at home, so I look forward to watching his antics:)
