I always browse the Goodwill toy section whenever I'm there, and the other day I found a cool new toy for Kiwi. You have never seen a more excited bird! He likes to sit on my leg and play, and boy was he having a blast last night. It was too cute not to share;)

Kiwi found it! ("get your fingers off MY toy mommy!:09:).

Adorable photos, April! Kiwi really wants those beads. I love the photo where he's trying to work the beads out with his tongue. You racked up lots of cool parront points with this toy.

Kiwi reminds me of Sally in those pictures... they like the same sorts of toys.

That goes back to if a toddler likes it, a parrot will probably like it too...

Have you seen those toddler toys that are the beads and blocks on the wire?

The ones where you can just move them from one side to the other through the little wire maze?

Both Tusk and Sally loved that one as well...

You can see the excitement in those pinning eyes of his! Sweet find, April!

What an awesome toy! Looks like you found a good one :). $2, and I'm sure he likes it better than a lot of expensive bird toys out there.

Especially that last one!

THAT'S MINE MOMMY!!!

Kiwi seems to prefer brightly colored plastic toys to wood shredding ones. Is that the case with Sally too? And yes, I know exactly what your talking about with the bead and wire ones. We used to have one, but it eventually got chewed up so I threw it out. He loved it though!

His eyes are the funniest things when he's *super excited* about something!

Well, Sally's favorite toy had both plastic and wood (and anything else I could figure out how to get on there... ) I also drill holes in unshelled nuts, and attach those to her "knot untying" toy.

Then, it doubles as a forraging toy...

She loves knot untying. She loves moving around beads and blocks. She loves those stuffed wiffle balls I make. For awhile I was getting those old school wooden clothes hangers, stuffing them into the wiffle ball holes, and then putting treats, and broken toy parts inside the wiffle ball... and hanging it up for her...

I did those wooden toddler puzzles as well. She loved those.

I drilled out the back of the bead on a block thing, and hung it up in her cage for awhile using wood screws and two washers. She played with that one a lot. Unfortunately, she and Tusk used to "argue" over that particular toy.

Gotta head over to goodwill today and see what they got, hopefully something rowdy likes as much as kiwi like (and wanted!) those beads
