Hi Everyone,

I have recently gotten 2 new GCC both of which have been hand raised and were non aggressive or biters when I met them and brought them home but now all they want to do is try to bite my hands off. Iā€™m not sure if this is due to me not having bonded with them enough yet or not? Iā€™ve tried all the tricks like hand feeding them, letting them come to me and not sticking my hands in the cage, teaching them non biting techniques and nothing seems to be working and I was wondering if anyone else had any ideas. They seems to really like me always running to me when Iā€™m near and squawking when I leave but when trying to interact itā€™s big ouchies for me. I should mention Iā€™ve been handling the birds individually, even though they live in the same cage .

Thanks!

Joelle98,
How old are your birds?
Do they both bite or just one?
Does the bite break the skin or leave a bruise? Sometimes baby birds nip (doesn't break the skin or leave a bruise) because they find our hands fun playthings.
