In your opinion and experience. Is 2 birds together exponentially noisy? I'm speaking more about Sun conures. I was under the impression that they keep each other company and that some times can reduce the noise.

Tell me about your experiences.

In my experience they actually can become more noisy because they call out to eachother, and once one gets going the other follows suit. But, sometimes if a bird is attached to another bird, it can help volume. If you are worried your bird is lonely, try leaving the Tv or radio on when you are gone.

Oh heck no. Not in my case anyway. Prissy (my nanday foster) and Sunny (My previous foster) were so loud when they got going. And they edged each other on, Sunny would call when she heard me come on so Prissy called too. Prissy calls in the morning and at night Sun started calling at morning and at night as well. They were loud more often and louder. This might not always be the case but it was in my situation.

More noise is my experience as well with a pair of blue crowns. Easily 3x the noise of one bird.

Well, I've never had a lone bird, but the parrot store/rescue I go to can be one of the loudest places on the planet! They definitely get each other going and sometimes phone conversations are impossible (but it's also hilarious to listen to sometimes! Someone dialing the wrong number would think they phoned up the funny farm)
