Today, my son Steven, his girlfriend Cari and myself, were driving around doing errands. I was driving, Steven said what is the time (remembering today's date 11/11/2011) . Steven then said hey it's exactly 11/11/2011 right now.
Cari said make a wish, I then wished everything in our lives would be okay.

We were approaching a green robot, the traffic was extremely slow. I was almost stationery.
At that second, I glanced at the review mirror, saw the lady driving behind me lift her hands and grab her head. I realized we were going to be hit. I gripped the steering wheel tightly and just said ohhhhhhh, she crashed into the back of my car. Miraculously I did not hit the car in front of me.

Steven took control of the situation, took down her details etc.
The poor lady could not stop apologizing, and began to cry. She said she lost concentration for a second !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Within 5 minutes OMG it was sheer chaos, 4 tow truck drivers appeared out of no where, (all wanting to tow us away) three metro police vehicles, and curious drivers wanting to know what had happened. Because of the accident, there was only one lane open. There was an enormous backlog of traffic, it was so scary. The police took statements from each of us. The police said we must please move quickly as another accident is bound to happen. It look like a scene out of a movie.

Thank God no one was injured, Cari and myself have whiplash.
Both vehicles were still able to be driven.

I cried, Steven and Cari told me it could have been a lot worse. I realize that and am very thankful to God for that. :D

I'm so glad you are all ok! So very sorry about the accident. I hope you all recover quickly from the whiplash. My hubby and I were rear-ended like that a few months ago. It definately hurts, but goes away over time. A muscle relaxer, tylenol, heating pad, and hot baths will help the soreness to go away. Best of luck getting your vehicle repaired quickly too. You're in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs!

I am so glad to hear you are ok. It could have been much worst than it was. Try to follow Rio Mom's advice. The long soaks in hot water helps alot. Wishing you a speedy recovery

You will be shaky for a few days after a trauma like this. The angels were with you so no one was hurt. Huggies as always.

Thank God, it wasn't worse then it was...what a scary event...get some rest hun. Big cyber hugs.

Whew! Sounds like you dodged a bullet, Ant. Glad to hear you are okay!

I hate when things like that happen. I guess there's a reason they call them accidents.

So sorry about the accident, hope everyone is ok. Mishka will have to take special care of his mommy right now. I thought of the date as a good omen, my hubby & I bought 11 power ball tickets today. (lottery) lol

I'm glad you guys mad it all right!!!!! It sounds awful!!!! Mishka your lucky charm? :)

I'm a massage therapist for a living and I treat a lot of whiplash. Anti-imflammatories are helpful (not tylenol, which just blocks the pain). Epsom salts can also help with imflammation (use in a bath or as a compress). Of course getting massages (make sure the work the front of your neck, not just the back) and chiropractic (the gentle kind) help a lot. Stay hydrated! You may wake up very stiff the day after.

Feel better!

Once I read this, I realized I wrote tylenol, when I meant aleve (an anti inflamatory). I don't even keep tylenol in the house, so don't know where that came from lol. I second the epsom salts, good in the bath for whatever aches you may have.
