disease transmission

Hi all, I'm thinking about showing my Indian Ringneck tomorrow in a local bird show for fun. My only concern is the 'holding cages'. Can Ringnecks catch diseases just by being in the same holding cage another bird has used? I'm a little worried about this. Thoughts? Thanks, -L :)
