Here is a picture of a CAG with a white tail. I think it's stunning.

It is stunning but.................................
think I prefer the red.

I wouldn't turn him down if I had a chance to have him mind you.:D

What a pretty CAG. I too wonder how he ended up with a white tail....skiing accident maybe??? :D Just kidding.

he must ahve been pulling a white wagon

Karen, do you know who owns this parrot? If so does he know why his tail is white:confused: It would be interesting to find out. Think I have mentioned before that I am really rather nosey. LOL

It has to do with genes--The parrot with the white tail is lacking the gene that provides the red tail
The other parrot has an excess of the same gene that provides the red pigment. There is a difference between these 2 birds and other birds that are called hybrids----Dave

Doh, should have thought of that, I was having a blond moment there:04: Thanks Dave for not letting me know how dumb that was:D

I love the Red Factor, they just melt my heart, but then all greys do that for me.:smile015: :smile015:

I have no idea who owns this bird. I can't even remember where I found that picture. DOH!

I have a few questions too.

Is this the only white tailed CAG or did it have siblings?
Did the parents have any other normal colored clutches before this one?
Are the parents normal colored?
Are the parents wild caught?
Are they going to try to breed for this color mutation?
