The theme for September is WINGS.

So please get those cameras out and show us your best picture of your birdy's wings. :D

Entries may be submitted from today through Friday, September 27th.

That really is an awesome picture! I would blow it up, frame it and put it on the wall.
 
Thankyou :D I really like it a lot, I feel a love hate relationship to my hand being in the photo though XD On one 'hand' it gives the image perspective, on the other her beautiful tail is blocked partially.

Everyone is going to be scared to post a photo because ours won't be as good as these entries, but i think we should all follow the spirit of the event and post pics! I'll find a good one of Gil's wings and play along.
 
i wanna see more entries too, after all it's just for fun and to be a part of this wonderful community :D everyone should just have fun! :D
 
Awww man I have no good wing shots of Oliver, though he's a really confident flier! The ones posted so far are amazing!
 
We've got to have more members with wing pictures to post on here, post away folks!!!

i'd bet some birds stretching or doing bat birds would make some very lovely models too... the theme doesnt just include flight shots, yes? or is it only flight photos?
 
I believe it's just "wings", so stretching, eagle wings, anything that shows off those amazing limbs that make out birds such a incredible creatures. I hope lots of people post wing photos over the course of the month. Even if your bird is clipped a stretching photo can be just as beautiful as a flying photo.

Absolutely DallyTsuka. :)

Stretching wings, bat bird, ANY picture where the bird's open wings are visible are a "go". :)
 
ok, I'll post my pics :)....but I have two and can't decide which one to post, can you do two?

Ok, I 'should' wait and try to get a really good pic this weekend, but this photo of Gilbert is funny because I was trying to get a good flying pic of him when he wasn't in the mood. The look on his face is like "hey lady, do you mind?? you keep wiggling your hand around and you are really starting to get on my nerves!" (on tv in the background is the news showing the Seaside boardwalk burning, hence all the smoke!)
