Hey any good ideas out there on foraging toys for small to medium parrots? In the GCC sizes. Almost everything I see is made for the big boys!

Not really foraging toys, they are fun though! I have a bunch of them and my little guy throws them all over the place! He picks one up off the bottom of his cage, then holding it climbs all the way to the very top, and then let's it go watching it bounce off the different objects like a pinball machine!

Stuff with shredded paper and little treats? Connect together, some full some not and hang in cage?

I have a load of those too I'll give it a try and see what Syd makes of it. He has a habit of being very honest and open!

Sounds like someone has a Pinball Wizard in his home! :D

Yeah, I was wondering about foraging toys too... I use those shredding tubes and stuff them with millet.
Here is one with millet inside, as you can see the birds chewed it up quite a bit and got to the good stuff...

Have your tried mysafebirdstore? They seem to have quite a selection of foraging toys suitable for small birds-

FORAGING TOYS

Flock Talk on YouTube has a video on making your own simple foraging toys.

The birdy toy box has some great foraging toys for small birds as well, my GCC loves them!

Salty is getting several new forging toys that I bought today. He didn't do so well with the last few I got for him, and I wound up giving those away. We are going to take a whack at different ones than he has had before. Funny, he is so smart, doing all the crazy things I ask him to do during our training sessions, but he either ignored the old toys, or made a really half hearted, token attempt to get the treats out. So we'll see.... some lucky parrot may be getting new foraging toys
