Look what I got for Griffin!

Julie, that is awesome!!! Where did you find that?

I saw one of these at a bird shop I was at on Monday!! I LOVE those. I almost picked one up for my conures. :)
Let me know how he likes it, if it's a hit I might get one for my fids. ;)

Really Nice Julie, Does he like it?

Joe

Well, we will have to see when I get him home! Either tomorrow or next couple days! :)

I completely missed the thread, I wish they had some code to "follow" your friends around here !!

Congrats Julie, "Griffin" is a Very Cool name !! I don't think I ever saw a Ruppell's parrot

I bet you are just THRILLED to have this new baby

Can't wait to see more pictures !!

Joe

Ohhh i bet Griffin will love it!!

Fargo would absolutely love that.. I might have to try and make him one in a bigger size ! ;)

Did you make the perch in the picture? I have never seen acrylic ends like that to bolt it onto the cage, how clever! I might have to have a go at trying to do that for his perches too!! :p

Thanks Joe :) I ordered and paid for this baby (from a known reputable breeder) LAST YEAR!! Long before the parents were even mating! Thank goodness though... Had I known all the vet visits going on with the others this year, I wouldn't have been able to get him!

LOL Tab, It's so small it would be a head rest for Fargo! :D You can make him a big one though :)

The acrylic ends that bolt on... Yeah, I really love those, and I have several for Raven and Robin's cages too. I got a bunch of them a long time ago, and I'm glad I did because they don't sell them any more unfortunately, and I've never seen them anywhere else :( I got them at the same place as the toy in this thread.

Oh man, I bet Loki would like it! Do you know what the toy is called? Maybe I can find it online for him.

Unfortunately I don't still have the tag for it for the brand info. Robin has his vet appt. next door to the place on the 28th. I'll find out more about this product since several people seem interested in it.:)

Yes if you could, that would be awesome! With Loki's limp leg, I think he would appreciate a little hammock to sleep on.

Ok, I'll make a note to call tomorrow and see what I can find out. :)

Griffin actually sleeps on the branch UNDER the hammock with his head pointed down! I think because he's new, he's not sure where to sleep, so he's kind of hiding. Hopefully he'll sleep like a normal bird once he settles in. :)

I would call him a rarer bird [ I think that's so neat to be able to experience one !!!] Do you know what the material is called on the bottom of your hammock ? I have toys made out of this and its fantastic.

Thank you! Much appreciated.

Thanks, Julie! A bird shop near me sells them in store (Kookaburra bird shop) not sure if they have an online shop though. Also I think mysafebirdstore might have something similar. (Called sea grass mats) :)

I found them on Drs Foster and Smith and Amazon. Thanks, Julie!
