This Christmas we decided to visit my wife's sister and her husband in Mesa Arizona. I have never traveled far from the East Coast and this was a real first time experience. Our son house-set and cared for our flock and I missed them greatly. Not far from the airport I discovered a bird store and found my way in... this is Arizona Bird Store and they were mostly macaws, having Blue and Golds, a Scarlet, and even a Hyacinth named Brazil. They had them all displayed in these large hoop things and surprisingly most were very friendly, readily stepping up. I thought you might enjoy seeing the pictures. The short lady is my wife Soni.
This site will not let me add more than 5 pictures so you can see the Hy later. Click on the thumbnails to enlarge.

I like those hoops! And a bird store with stainless cages to house their birds, nice! Thanks for sharing :)

Wow looks awesome I wonder how they get food and water on those rings?

Great pictures, Alwese, thanks so much for sharing!!! :D I really like those huge stainless hoops! Never seen anything like it before.

How did your fids react upon your return home? I bet they were SO happy to have you home! :)

I was a little apprehensive about how I would be greeted returning home after being away for 13 days. I was really worried about them plucking as they HAD to be locked up for all that time. Normally when I went away I had my daughter to care for them and she would let them out as she can handle Doogie and Kayko. She went north to Buffalo while we were going to AZ and my son Bill had to house sit here.
I got a big blushed face and a "Hey" from Doogie. Clifford wanted to stay on my shoulder and not get off. He jumped onto my shoulder like he was jumping onto a yacht. They did not forget who I was and were certainly glad to see me. This is the longest I have ever been away from them. They did not pluck.
The girl in the picture with the Mollucan and I think Umbrella 'toos was with the store. They had a bird club meeting that night right in the store and I would have loved to have joined them, but my hosts had other plans
Here now I have room for some more of the pictures: The Hy is named Brazil and he was away from the others in the boss's office.
