Coqui's New Jungle Gym

I bought Coqui a net and two "spiral perches" for Christmas and only managed to get one spiral perch up in her cage. Well Brad (my hubby) and I managed to hang them up this past Tuesday. I know the perches are not "homemade" but it took some handy work to get these two items hung up and I hope to add some homemade toys to it at some point. I knew with Coqui's personality she would love these and I was not wrong. LOL! I hope to get Savannah trying them out. If she likes them, we will do the same set up for her. Quincy on the other hand, I don't think it would work for him.

Coqui went right for the top. She loves hanging out on the pvc on top, so I have now added some vet wrap to that. No pictures of the vet wrapped pvc though.

She really likes the wood and plastic discs hanging from the net. I hope to add some toys for her to play with.

Thanks Henpecked! Yes she is the one I rehomed. I've had her 8 months now. Can't believe how time flies! She has been a joy. Her mischievous nature makes her so much fun. Lol!

I love the sisal boing! I bought 2 of them, but Ripley immediately destroyed his, so I gave the other one to Sam (and it's lasting).

Ever since I added the vet wrap she hasn't climbed on the pvc. That is actually not a bad thing, but I hope over time she will get brave and climb up again.

I think Savannah is not sure what to think. I am hoping I can get her to warm up to it!

Those boings are not cheap! I would be bummed to if one of my macs destroyed it immediately! I've had her boing in her cage for awhile and except for a few frays, it looks great still!

Next on the agenda is to build swings for all three birds. I saw these at the zoo I was at and loved the idea!



YOu can see all the macs hanging out on them. The B&G was swinging away. I can totally see Coqui loving this and I hope Savannah & Quincy, too!

Looks like Coqui LOVES it!!!!!! I have been wanting to add something to Kiwi's area and hang it from the ceiling, but my husband is a bit iffy.

Stephanie, read my thread below (second page) and you'll see how Joe and Stephen gave great advice about hanging things from the ceiling. Then to tell your husband lol.
