Broken blood feather?

Just noticed that there was blood on it's body so lifted the wing and saw this, called up the vet and got an appointment for tomorrow morning but not to sure what actually happened, looks like it's broken it's feather.

OMG, there is blood all over the place!!! And, that my level of humor for today! :D

Note, the new feather and at its base appears to be where the blood is coming from. If it is still bleeding you will need to attempt to halt the bleeding by applying light pressure or a clouting agent. Inspect the base of the new feather to determine if it is broken or not. It is possible to move a new feather that results in a momentary loss of blood and all is well. More commonly, the feather will need to be removed.
 
Most important thing to worry about when this happens is to stop your bird's bleeding. You should always have corn starch or flour on hand and easily available, because birds have very little blood and can bleed to death very quickly. DO NOT USE A CLOTTING AGENT SUCH AS QWIK CLOT/Styptic powder ON YOUR BIRD'S BODY, THAT STUFF IS ONLY FOR TOENAILS!!! Corn starch or flour works great on their bodies and doesn't burn them like the QWIK Clot/Styptic powder does. Just blob some flour or corn starch on the wound/part of the feather that is bleeding and watch him until the bleeding completely stops. The vet will most likely pull the feather out to keep it from bleeding again, but you'll have to watch him closely until then to make sure you can get more flour on it if it starts bleeding again.

Okay thanks guys, going to use flour soon, but it was moving around the feather came out by it self.

Just make sure he has completely stopped bleeding ASAP, again they don't have much blood to spare at all!

Yeah she's stopped bleeding, will let you know what the vet says tomorrow

The vet said the same, nothing to worry about and said next time just pull it out and hold it down with cotton( as you guys had said)
